In 1988 I borrowed against everything I owned, bought a second-hand box truck and started taking jobs nobody else wanted: early starts, long drives, the loads that had to be there by morning. I drove most of them myself.
I grew up in Calbrook, and I learned early that a town only works when things arrive: the bread at the bakery, the medicine at the pharmacy, the parts at the factory. Nobody thinks about it until it stops. Making sure it never stops is the job we do.
Thirty-four years later we have more than three hundred vehicles and over four hundred people, and I still know most of them by name. We have grown, but we have never stopped being a family business. Our customers can still call and talk to someone who knows them.
Whatever the weather, whatever the hour, the same rule holds as on that first morning. Keep the wheels turning.
